For my thesis, I got my main inspiration from Zeki Muren who was a Turkish singer back in the 60’s and 70’s. He was very famous with his clothes both on and off stage. He was a true gentleman in the eyes of the public which was really interesting when we think especially his times, Turkey was pretty conservative to his lifestyle. Event hough he never came out as homosexual he made himself accepted with his unique feminine style.
As he is fun and unique, I looked for the opposite; dull and ordinary. I made a garment research specifically on professor wardrobe which was the closest to what I was looking for and basically took the traditional male wardrobe to combine with Zeki; his fun and color.
